Open for dinner only, Pressley’s at the Marina is committed to providing a casual yet outstanding dining experience at Edisto’s Marina. Located on the water at 3702 Dockside Rd., enjoy drinks and live music on their downstairs dock and then join them upstairs for great food, nightly specials, full bar service, and spectacular views and sunsets. Note: Pressley’s doesn’t accept reservations and is first-come, first-serve so arrive early because there might be a wait during the busy season. Parking for Pressley’s is located in the paved lot across from Bay Creek Villas.
One might expect a waterfront restaurant in a beach town; the menu leans heavily on the seafood side with signature plates like their celebrated Blackened Grouper Filet. Two Lump Crab Cakes topped with beurre blanc cream sauce, tomato preserve, Shrimp and Grits Creamy Stone-Ground Grits and a Sesame-Encrusted Ahi (tuna) dressed with a teriyaki glaze are just a few of the other all-star seafood specialty entrees.
Or try Pressley’s version of a Lowcountry standard in the form of Joey’s Big Bay Boil, a seasoned medley of shrimp, kielbasa, fingerling potatoes, and corn served with Pressley’s Coleslaw.
Their fried or broiled seafood plates come with a choice of shrimp, flounder, oysters, clams, scallops, or Edisto creek shrimp, with the option to upgrade to combo platters of two, three, or four of these items. For the full-on seafood bonanza experience, you can add on a crab cake to any plate for an extra charge.
Other menu standouts are the Capri’s Italian Signature Specialties such as the Shrimp Scampi and the Blackened Chicken Alfredo. Pressley’s menu provides steak, chicken, and burger alternatives if you’re more of a landlubber or need a break from seafood.
The hushpuppies served with honey butter are a sweet, crunchy, and satisfying starter, while the Bacon Wrapped Scallops Skewers—also available as an entrée—will blow your taste buds away. Bang-Bang Shrimp, lightly breaded and fried and tossed with sweet red chili sauce, is another winning appetizer that’s all the rage. As a bonus, all guests are provided complimentary chips and black bean salsa when seated.
Their dessert menu features Tuxedo Cake, Cheese Cake, and Key Lime Pie. For non-alcoholic beverages, they carry iced tea, coffee, lemonade, and sodas.
Kickoff the evening with one of Pressley’s specialty cocktails, with funny names like Sha Sha’s Cooler, a concoction of vodka and grapefruit with a splash of cranberry and lime the Edi-slo, a mix of sloe gin and soda. Pressley’s also supplies a selection of wines as well as local and domestic beer options.
