Edisto Beach Christmas Weekend

Edisto Beach Christmas Weekend is the island’s holiday kickoff, held the second Friday and Saturday of December: a Holiday Market at Bay Creek Park on Friday and the Edisto Christmas Parade down Palmetto Boulevard on Saturday afternoon. It’s small-town and golf-cart-friendly, with mild coastal weather that makes a December beach weekend easy.

Holiday Market & Mingle (Friday)

Local vendors and a food truck fill Bay Creek Park on Friday, making it one of the best days of the year to shop for Edisto-made gifts. In 2025 the Chamber also held its Turtle Tide art auction during the market.

Edisto Christmas Parade (Saturday)

The 36th annual parade rolls at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 12, along Palmetto Boulevard from the 600 block to the 100 block. The 2026 theme is “A Very Vintage Christmas”: think classic postcards, antique toys, vintage ornaments, and decorated classic cars. Expect decorated golf carts, floats, fire trucks, and candy for the kids.

Want to be in it? Entry is free; sign up through the Chamber’s parade registration form and review the parade rules.

Tips for Parade Day

• Arrive early; Palmetto Boulevard parking fills well before 2 p.m.
• Bring chairs, a bag for candy, and a layer for the breeze off the ocean.
• Grab lunch on Jungle Road or at the marina before the parade, since kitchens get busy right after.
